A little late with the birthday post, I know, but I've had problems with Blogger and then got busy with the week. But here are a few photos, 2 of them courtesy of my mom. I got busy with everything and she was snapping away, so I let her be the birthday photographer. Before she and Leon got to our house for the party, Katie and I did have a photoshoot that I'm sure you'll be seeing bits and pieces of in posts to come.
She loved everything about her day -- every gift was "just what she wanted" ---- the cake was a princess with a beautiful dress like the birthday girl --- We were so glad to have Grandma and Grandpa and Aunt Linda and Amy here to celebrate with us. That made the day super special :)
I love this one Mom took -- Kate waiting for Aunt Linda and Amy to come. Such a little lady.
We still have more celebrating to come with family and friends. We like to keep the party going, ya know.
I've had several ideas for posts lately, but haven't really had the time to sort out my thoughts and put them down. I thought I'd just give you the topics, instead, and you can just kinda pretend I've written about all these things and then I'll be caught up. Does that work??
Alright, here we go:
**the chick in the restaurant the other day yelling at her kids like they were worthless ... why, oh, why are these people allowed to have babies??? I wanted to go over there, scoop all 4 of them up and tell her exactly what I thought of her. I didn't, but I'm still fired up about it.
**Kate's wishing for a baby sister. My mom says that we just have to keep her wishing and not *praying*. That's when there is cause for alarm. FIY: She's my last baby. The End.
**I've switched from Explorer to Firefox and it's by far the best thing I've ever done/found in the computer world.
**I've been wondering what it would be like to be live a caffeine-free life. It seems like I am drinking more and more of it lately and I know it can't be good for me. I'm *this* close to admitting I'm an addict, but I'm scared of the withdrawal. Gosh, that sounds pathetic. I've gone through this with Excedrin several years ago and let me tell you, those few days going without it were not pretty. Not pretty at all. I'm not taking as much Excedrin as that time, but still some, plus coffee and Dr. Pepper. Add those together and you know what I'm talking about. What do you think?? Should I taper off?? Bite the bullet and go cold turkey? or is it ok to just keep on keepin' on?
It makes it doubly hard with my headaches to have no caffeine at all, but give me a little and then there's no stopping, it seems.
**I am so ready for this election to be over. Why can't we just vote and be done with it already?
There. All caught up and ready to start fresh. Basketball is officially over this weekend and we sign up for baseball on Saturday. Baseball. Ahhhh. Doesn't that mean warm sunny days are ahead?

They grow up fast don't they! She looks beautiful and I bet you can guess which photo is my favorite (window).
So good have you back!!! It was a fun celebration, and I know Katie will keep the excitement in the air for all the upcoming parties. She is adorable. I am looking forward to future blogs, but totally understand that you are super busy. Thanks for squeezing the post into your day. You are such a Blessing--don't ever forget it! Love, Mom
So glad for a fresh post and multiple topics is a PLUS! Happy belated b'day, Kate! What a doll she is. Wanna see some close ups of that cake, though. So pretty from what I can see. I know w/ Hannah you became a real pro! Remind me to tell you what Jana said about caffeine/Exedrin/migranes-important stuff! P
I was just checking your site, Amy reminded me that you were an avid blogger. You definitely have a way with words! I should say that I have started recently and feel like I am talking to noone because I think people read and don't comment! I laughed at the mom with the four kids in the restaurant, I think I may have swatted Logan's butt today in front of people after lunch. I hate it when that happens, but I was done and he pinched me with those tiny fingernails on the leg with both hands! Discipline was necessary!!! I am now somewhat regretful. Hopefully we weren't that bad. On caffeine, I am a tea drinker, so I made the switch to caffeine-free, but I must keep my Excederin handy! I am the go-to-gal for it at school too. There are somethings in life that we must have!
