Today he turned 8. I can't believe how fast it goes. He's our only boy, our serious child, sports crazy, tender-hearted, and sweet to the core. He loves his sisters, is a math whiz and rocks at taking out the trash.
We had a special birthday lunch at Albert Pujols' new restaurant, Pujols 5 Grill. Grandma Virgina, Grandpa Leon, Amy, Jeff, Aunt Linda and Uncle Bob came to celebrate with us. The manager took Albert's ESPY trophy out of the case and let Jonathan hold it for a photo op. They really made his day extra-special. Back home for DQ ice-cream cake and presents and the rest of the day playing his new Playstation. It is really *great* to be 8!!

I am so proud my grandson, Jonathan--and it is amazing that he is already 8 years old. He is very smart and very sweet, and will be a star in the area of his choice in the future. In the meantime, we will just cherish each day, watching him grow into a young man. So thankful to share in yesterday's celebration. God bless you, Jonathan.
