Few and Far Between

Friends like this... and times together.

We got to spend the weekend before Thanksgiving with Jacki, Jeff and Maddy and had the *best* weekend...lots of soccer, lots of eating and lots of laughing pretty much sums it up.
During a free afternoon, Jacki and I took Katie and Maddy to Paint Me Pottery for some arts & crafts girl time. They had a ball picking out and painting their treasures. Us moms may have been a little crafty, too, who knows?

I so treasure times these times. A connection that is rare and almost impossible to explain. we were talking about how through our whole 16 year friendship, we have only lived in the same town for 1 year! We are still negotiating their move to StL, but they are pretty persistent that we head their way... but even if we never live physically close, we will always, always be heart-to-heart, forever the best of friends.
Love you, Jacki!!

And this one... well.. I'd take her as my own in a heartbeat. Love you, too, Maddy!! (and your daddy, too!)

What a wonderful friendship. I am so glad you met and maintain your ties. Ecclesiasticus 6:14 " A faithful friend is a strong defense; and he that hat found such an one hath found a treasure."

I'm just now reading this!!!! I've missed checking blogs, etc for a couple days--- what a nice blog post. Times with you are the BEST. I treasure it--and you!! What a great time we had! Thanks for thinking of the whole pottery thing -- it was perfect. It was exactly what we/the girls needed that day. We both know that in a perfect world-- you would live next door-- is that too much to ask for???? Love you and miss, miss, miss you! And maddy does too! (and Jeff!)
