Hannah started 8th grade today. From what I can tell, she's back in the swing pretty easily. She's so completely organized-- it's fun to watch. Folders, binders, notebooks, a little filing thing. Compare her to her brother who though the binder may be in his backpack, likes to wad up the papers and shove them in, along with marbles, left over snacks, and whatever else boys keep in their backpacks. He and Kate start tomorrow, so I have 2 days of "first day of school pictures".
Hannah has her daddy as her teacher for 2 classes this year: Humanities and Latin II. That's lots of listening to your dad. But thankfully she doesn't seem to mind. Here's my two I sent off today:

What a beautiful daughter you have - both inside and out!!!! And a not too shabby husband either. I think the first day of school is always hard for everyone. But Hannah must have it down pat. We're thinking of all of you and sending our love. Aunt Linda and Uncle Bob
Love the picture of Hannah and Matthew---back to school! I am soooo proud of every one of you, I could just burst at the seams when I consider my blessings from your family. Hannah is such a sweetheart, and becoming the perfect lady. You and Matt are doing such a wonderful job instilling so many good qualities into each of the children, and it shines through, even in photographs!
Thank you for sharing the pictures, and letting us be there on the first day of school, even when we couldn't.
