Taking some days over the next week to do some things together -- essentially a vacation to St. Louis, something we've done many times over the years when there is little time and/or money. We are so blessed to live in a city that is overflowing with fun family stuff to do and we definitely like to take advantage of it. We are pretty regular at the Zoo, Grant's Farm and places like that. But we are going to try to go some places we haven't been to in a long time, or at all. Also, just spend some time at home relaxing.
This summer has been harder than I thought, being at work, while Matt's at home with them. A big first for us. I'm afraid that just when we all adjust, it'll be time for school to start again. These days off with them are just as much for me as they are for them, that's for sure.
Tonight, though, is John Mayer. Been waiting for a while for this concert and am super jazzed about it. Rain or shine we'll be on the lawn. So, So, So Excited. This is my 3rd JM concert and I feel like it's the first.
Just got this on Tuesday --
live album and DVD of the concert. Oh my. Brightened up my otherwise dreary week.
I'm busy editing some awesome photos I took last night from the ---- FRONT ROW at the CARDS game. Story and photos to come :)
Until then, some of my favs from our picnic supper to the park Tuesday evening
.

Oh how I love visiting your blog and seeing all the sweet faces of those kiddies. Beautiful children, and wonderful photos.
Hope you all have some special times around your city and I know you will make many memories, which is what "vacations" are all about. I am excited, as I can count on more photos from you, as you keep an account of all the happenings.
Have fun at JM concert tonight--Relax and stay young and carefree, like Katie. I am praying for good weather for you. Enjoy!
Love, Mom
