I think I'm in Love

Safe and sound and in one piece, Miss Pentax K10d arrived yesterday. She's a beauty. Needless to say, I have a lot, and I mean a lot to learn. So many button and dials and menus, so little time.
But that's the fun part, right???
I am not completely loving the lens that came with it, it's a pretty wide angle and will be great for outside-landscape kind of shots, but it's fine for learning. She's a hefty little thing, let me tell ya. That takes some getting use to, too. I hope to take a few photos and post later this weekend. Amy's here and we are working on some wedding stuff, so it will be in between invitations and paper cone making.
Just wanted you to know that Penny (short for Pentax and a play on the fact that she cost a pretty one) and I are beginning what I think is going to be a beautiful relationship. More to come...
***and I promise to stop talking about *her* like she's a person :)

So glad you are getting acquainted with your newest family member, as I know you will be spending some quality time with "her". I look forward to all the future photos you share. Yes, I see a F1.4 lens in your future, as "Penny" starts to want to go on those girls-day-out shopping trips and escorts you into a Creve Coeur Camera. You'll not be able to deny her for too long! Enjoy the wedding craft weekend, and I'll be watching your blog for the next posting.
Love, Mom

Can't wait to see what fun you have with Penny! I see no need to stop calling her by name.
