I've been computer-less for a while. My power-adapter cord went on the fritz and I had to order a new one. Thankfully, I found a Dell power cord on Ebay at seriously a fraction of the cost of Dell.com. It came today in the mail. --- I had a few stolen moments to check email on Matt's Mac, which I guess is cool, but it's just not the same, ya know. Now, my fingers are frolicking over my keyboard once again, and it feels like home.
Busy as bees over here today. Two ball games and a birthday party and home by 3:30 this afternoon.
I guess lots of stuff has been going on, but none of it has been blog-worthy enough for me to remember it, so we'll just say that all is well. Well, there has been some drama in the case of us vs. our idiot city government (carport related) but it just makes me spiral into crazy fits so I'll spare you the gorey details. Just pray. Hard.
This is Kate's last week to be 4. I promise that every other sentence she has spoken the past few weeks has been somehow birthday related. Not sure how I'm going to make this live up to her imaginative expectations of the glory of turning 5, but I'll give it a shot.
I haven't taken any pictures at all lately. Been such a slacker. In fact, I haven't done much of anything fun or creative. Basically just the day-to-day keep your head above water kind of stuff. After a while it can wear you down. Definitely time for a break from reality.
While sitting here trying to make up a post, Hannah was in the kitchen whipping up some AMAZING home made rice pudding. Just got out the cook book and voila! Golly, I love that girl!!
Better eat my bowl full before it cools off too much. Delish!

Good to hear you have your computer back...we've been missing you. Can't believe this is Katie's last week to be 4...where has the time gone? And don't worry...she's so thrilled and happy about the littlest of things (that's one of her wonderful qualities),so her birthday will live up to all her expectations. Looking forward to seeing you all next weekend...missing ya! Oh...and if you're up for a little treat, you might want to visit www.dougandamyowens.blogspot.com. Yes, the name is a bit premature, but dougandamy (and amyanddoug) was taken. This was all my honey's doing!!
Soooo glad to have you back on the blog----I love your posts. I know it is great to have your computer going again.
Our Katie will be a fabulous-five-year old. It has been a fast five years, and there have been some oh-so-fun times and quotes from Katie Rose. Let the party begin! I with you, Katie, let's celebrate.
Don't you wish we could all live the life of a soon - to - be five year old!!! Everything is so wonderful!!!!! She will have a great birthday no matter what she does. She enjoys being the center of attention and she certainly will be that on Sunday. Glad you are back blogging. I love reading them. See you soon. Love, Aunt Linda
