a two for one

With this post you get both a Silver Bella glimpse and a Thanksgiving post. Aren't you lucky??

(taken by the talented official Silver Bella photographer Kim Haynes. Go HERE to see more.)

Silver Bella : a wonderful weekend full of art, artists, wanna-bees (that would be me!)... tons of glitter, vintage, paper, smiles, laughter, new friends, amazing women. Really unlike any event I've ever been to --- not only because the caliber of artist there was far above -- but also because there was not a single woman there that wouldn't talk to you like you'd known each other forever (well, maybe there was one ... but we just won't talk about her). Truly every one we met was smiling, talking, interested in getting to know each other. That made it so much more fun. Then there was the teachers: Rebecca Sower, Pam Garrison, Jenny and Aaron from Everyday is a Holiday, Jennifer Paganelli of Sis Boom fabrics and decor, and the ultra-glittery, super bella Teresa McFayden who just so happens to be the brains and beauty behind my favorite line of projects -- Foof-a-la. So .... we spent two days making pretty things, with uber cool people.

We had a blast getting dressed up for the "Country-Fried" "Junk Gypsy" vendor night. And had even more fun shopping (while drinking wine and eating dessert -- who knew you could do all three things at once???) Pretty much a trifecta of Bella perfection.

We made the trip back on Sunday -- long flat drive from Omaha, with a quick stop at a fun little antique place called Rusty Chandelier. --- where I found a darling vintage Christmas apron to wear!

And now for the pictures:
<<-- good for the soul. Cheap therapy. <<-- me with Rebecca Sower, one of the most talented and gracious women you'll meet.
<<--with Jenny and Aaron. That's me in the middle. Such inspirational, cool art. I love my project from their class -- sorry, no picture though.
<<-- midway through the Christmas Wish class with Jennifer Paganelli. Somehow my picture with her is missing. Pooh. <<-- Patti and me with Teresa McFayden. Classy lady. How amazing to put such a terrific event together. <<-- signs I thought were fun while walking around the Old Market district in Omaha.

------------------------------------------- Part II ---------------------------------------------

If I begin a list of all that I'm thankful for I'll exceed my allotted bandwidth on Blogger. That's how blessed I am. I can't even begin. There is too much and too many. God has given me a life full of love, family, friendship, joy. He has blessed my life with people, with material things and with His Abounding Love. There are many things in the world that I may say I want. But truly I have every single thing I need. And more. All I want and need I have been given by the goodness and grace of God. I am thankful. I want to live a life of daily gratitude. How much happier would I be, to focus daily on my blessings instead of this one day??? How much more would I not take those I love for granted? Would I take the time for little things that mean a lot? How much more often would I call when I have someone cross my mind? A life of gratitude, of Thanksgiving, is what I want to live.
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. May you be blessed beyond measure.
Love,
Tammy

I am so glad you and Patti got to go to Silver Bella, it looks like it was such a fun time. It is great to meet new people and see their creative ways of thinking and share some "girl" time with friends. I know you must have picked up all kinds of ideas, and will be using them when you gain a free minute--perhaps that is "after" the Holidays. I do look forward to spending Saturday with you, and do some relaxing speed shopping! You are such a gift from the Lord, and don't ever forget you are loved! Mom
