** a netflix rental of "Medieval Seige" documentary --- or in my case snore-a-mentary...
Matt has been anxious to get this bad boy on. He loves to share. Thanks, babe.
Hope it can live up to my favorite -- "The Barbarians". or was it "The Vikings"??
(fiy: These all go along with the humanities curriculum he teaches, but he'd probably still rent them anyway)
I'm working on planning our Christmas dinner with my side of the family which will be at our house for the first time. I want to have it be really nice, not fancy though, and traditional but not blah. Does that make sense? I want to get it all worked out before hand so that I'm not going crazazay at the last minute -- I do work best under pressure, but I'm not sure my December stress level could handle a flat out freak out. Good news is that my weekends later in the month are pretty open and I hope to keep them that way. Say it with me now.... "No, I'm sorry, I can't." "No, I'm sorry, I can't". How's that, Mom???
Speaking of Christmas, I wish you could hear the excitement in Kate's voice when she talks about Christmas. Everything about it is THE best thing in the world to her. She's sooooo excited. I love it!! And I'm going to treasure it because she's my last little one, and how quickly they lose that wonder and awe of the holidays. So much to look forward to coming up. I'll share all our traditions with you as we go :)
--- psssst.... right now, Kate is singing the most hysterical song with the guitar about Christmas, real folky sounding, something about "when she was a little girl, she put a Christmas tree up and her brother was watching tv." Is she just too much??

Seriously? Medieval Seige-is he kidding? Seriously.
Kate and Maddy could start a band together -- the hilarious songs happen around here also! And the Christmas excitement is here too. She keeps asking "Is it December yet?" Why couldn't Christmas be at the beginning of the month, huh? Just for the kiddos!
Love you all! And still miss you terribly, ya know. Jacki
Yes, he is a wonderful gift! Such a sweet boy, and "brother" for his sisters to depend on. You and Matt have done a beautiful job with those kiddies. Each is soooo special and their own person.
I love you all dearly.
Mom
