<--(taken last fall, but applies to post, nonetheless ;)
I had a wonderful day today with my mom, shopping and hanging out. Spending good time together, with nothing really on the agenda other than just being together. I am so blessed to have one of my best friends also be my mother. We never get tired of being together, always find funny things to laugh about in unlikely places, and have a relationship built on trust and respect and love. If I grow up to be even half the mom she is, I'll be doing good. We walked around an antique mall, went to Hobby Lobby, Goodwill, and Kohls. No big finds to report other than the 60 cent water paints I got for Katie Rose. Matt took the kids to the movies to see Arctic Tale with some free passes that we scored the other night. Gotta love a free movie. They all seemed to like it except Katie keeps talking about the 'bad' part where one of the animal dies. I asked her if she cried, she said, "nope, but Sissy didn't like that part" so I'm thinking it was more of her reaction to Hannah than to the movie.
So pretty much a not too exciting but happy day...
**except the part where I come home, Matt and the kiddos are gone and I'm locked out of the house for almost 2 hours. That part of the day wasn't the best.
Now, all is well again. After bowls of ice cream, everyone under 13 is in bed and the two of us are hanging out in our spots in the living room. Yep, it was a good day.

You ARE on a roll! I love that you have that great relationship with your mom. What a support that is for you and such a blessing. Talk to you soon! Love and miss you, Jacki
Yes, it was an uneventful, yet wonderfully relaxing day. I love just spending time together with no pressure, just girl-time and nothing that "has" to be done. I am so blessed to have you, my daughter and thank God for you everyday. Love, Mom
