Hi, everyone! Just able to get some computer access and time to send out a "Ciao!" to all my faithfull blog readers. We arrived safely in Italy -- traveling almost a complete 24 hours before reaching Venice with a quick stop in Verona. I can't adequately explain our trip in the short timeI have online and without pictures, but just wanted you to know we are here and it is all I could have dreamed of and more. Beautiful, historically rich, scenic, breathtaking, magical. Each stop has been unique and special. When we return I'll post many pictures and tell you some of my favorite moments. So far our hotels have been really nice ,the one we are currently in in Tuscany is gorgeous. The food has been fabulous, and I've lifted any and all restrctions on gelato and wine. No guilt in having either, whenever the urge arises. No complaining about gas prices over in the states anymore, they pay around $7.00 / gallon here. That's why all there are all these crazy people in teeny cars and bikes. We are spending way too much money on water, but it is a necessity and they know it and make you pay for it....then after you pay for it you have to pay to use the bathroom. Just not right, in my opinion. Those are the kinds of things that are so interesting to learn and take in. Those and seeing Michangelo's David. (just kidding) We've had some amazing experiences that I'm so excited to share with you.
We leave early in the morning for southern Italy -- Sorrento which is near Naples. We'll be on the bus for most of the day with a stop in Siena for a short tour and lunch/shopping.It isn't fair to have to choose between the two, don't you agree?? The next day is Pompeii and the isle of Capri, where I will be wearing my capri's because it's just funny.he he ... I hope to swim in the blue grotto at Capri, but we'll see.
I've been a little home sick here and there but enjoying each and every minute here in Italia. Hope to check in again soon.

So glad to hear you're having a wonnderful time. Can't wait for my pictorial tour!
I've been watching for a post from you -- I thought the whole buying water and paying to use the bathroom thing in Germany was quite a deal as well. Crazy! It's funny to hear it happens there also. Enjoy your time and talk to you right when you get back! Love, Jacki
I am so glad to get your report, and thankful you are getting to enjoy all the beauty of Italy. What a blessing. Take it all in---take notes for your own memories, and make notes of the people you meet and things that make your trip special. All is well here at "Camp Grandma & Grandpa's"--We were all thrilled to hear your voice this morning--See you Wednesday. Lots of Love, Mom
