24 hours from now...

we will be landing in Milan. It will be close to midnight here at home, but it will be a brand new Italian Tuesday morning when we get off of the plane. I can say that I am completely not prepared for skipping over many time zones, have no idea how my body will react. I'm sure that the adrenaline will help, though. And am prepared with any and all pharmaceuticals necessary for nausea, pain, discomfort of any kind. I feel like a little old lady with all my pills, but I want to feel good and not wish I had this or that for any ailments. Finishing this little blog entry and then painting my toenails are the last things on my list before heading off to bed for the early wake-up. We're suppose to be at the airport at 7 a.m. Makes for a long day when it's 7 a.m. the next day when you arrive at your destination. So, I definitely need the rest.

Jonathan played in the All Star game for his baseball league today. It was lots of fun and I was glad that he was able to be there for it. Then I headed over to my mom's to drop the kids off for their vacation at "Camp Grandpa and Grandma's". Talk about heart-wrenching. Hannah and Jonathan had a harder time than I thought they would with me leaving and Kate was in heaven and gave me a quick kiss and was off to play. If I let myself I could really let loose and have a good cry, cause it's so hard to go so far away and because the house seems so empty tonight...but I'm not going to because #1. I already have a killer headache and #2. I know that it is all going to be great -- our trip, their time with their grandparents -- both are true blessings. But --- I'm still going to have major mommy pains, especially the next few days.

Keep us in your prayers and be checking for updates. Matt is bringing his laptop and I hope to have some time to check in. Picture posting is up in the air, because he has a Mac and I'm not sure about getting my pictures onto his computer, but I'll be posting when I can.

Peace and Love to you all. Caio!!!

Have a great time! And Happy Anniversary to all of us -- ha, ha! I hope to talk to you right when you get back. (It'll be wierd not talking to you on the 20th, oh well -- just know we'll be thinking of you and praying all goes well on your trip.) Love you all! Jacki

Happy Anniversary Tammy & Matt!! In Venice and going to Tuscany, wow!! All is well here at "Camp Grandma and Grandpa's"---Been keeping busy and having lots of fun with the kids, tennis, basketball, tire swing, baby quail from Rural King, bike riding and flower watering. Hannah and Jonathan are writing in their journals and Kate has painted some pictures. I have "watched" Kate's every move, as her favorite thing is for someone to watch her do things.
Hope Italy is as wonderful as I know it will be and that you have a perfect trip. You are loved by all of us. All is going fine here and we will see you on Wednesday, with stories to tell!. Love you Lots! Mom & Leon
