Wedding Bells ---- (alternate title: I have one year to get in shape for this wedding)
I delayed in posting until I was able to share pictures again, although I could hardly contain myself with the news.
Amy and Doug are getting married!!! I am beyond thrilled.
They are the absolute sweetest couple. It's precious to see their relationship grow and how their personalities complement each other. I have prayed for Amy to find someone who she can share her life with, who will love her, and treat her the way she deserves to be treated. Let me tell you, this one is a keeper -- like in 'forever'. He is truly a kind, loving man and it makes it so much easier (at least a little easier) to let her go and move away knowing she'll be with him.
On a lighter note, now we have a wedding to plan which just gets me giddy :) It makes me in the mood to watch Father of the Bride (one of my all time favorites) and the Wedding Planner, etc. etc. I don't think that Doug knows that Amy and I have been secretly planning her wedding for oh, the past 7 years. This is going to be soooo fun!
House update: the work (on the contractor's end) is done. finished. complete. Thank you very much. On my end, well, I'm still pluggin' along, but Matt is out for summer break and been helping with the to-do list. I'm in love with my kitchen, especially the counter space where you have all the room you want to sit stuff. Yep, just sit that over there on that counter. Or that counter. Or that one way over there, where ever you want, there is tons of space. Most of you think it sounds crazy, but I've expanded by counter space by 15 ft. I'm in the lap of luxury, baby. Love it!!
I am refusing to be freaked out by the guy with TB on the airplane thing. One random guy. It will not make me afraid to go to Italy. Nope.
Other news: School's officially out tomorrow, and so begins summer vacation. Takes a little time for everyone to transition to being home together. Jonathan needs his space, Kate wants everyone to play with her all the time, Hannah wants to go and do... you get the picture. Just have to find a good rhythm and schedule. And be outside a lot.
Good to talk to ya. Missed letting it out on the ol' blog.

They thought I'd never graduate and Amy would never find her guy. Well it just goes to show you that you should "never say never." matt
Congratulations! Here's to many a happy ending. Your kitchen is faBUlous! So happy for you!
Amen Matt! We did it! Thanks for the sweet posting Tam! Love you.
Amy/Bebe
Thanks for the nice blog Tammy. I have really enjoyed getting to know your family. You all are so sweet and I look forward to the many great times that we have ahead of us. Thanks again for all of your support! Love ya, Doug.
Congratulations to Amy and Doug---May you have a beautiful life together. I know it will be lots of fun planning during this coming year. Prayers are answered and God is always "Right on time"---We are the ones that are impatient. But the waiting is worth it when the end is what He had planned.
Have fun in your new kitchen--now that summer vacation is here, you and the kids will get in your routine soon, and remember to enjoy each day. I so am proud of Hannah and Jonathan's rewards at their end-of-the-school-year program. I know Kate is thrilled to have her "playmates" home with her. Summer is a wonderful time of year. Enjoy your spacious kitchen, plan for a fabulous trip and beautiful family wedding, and new little niece---what fun!!!! Love you Lots! Mom
