twenty-fifteen

Yes, it's true that I turned the big 3-5 today. In celebration of my birthday I will now tell the world wide web 35 random facts about myself:
(I preface this with the fact that many of you already know these things, but indulge me, it's my birthday.)

1. I occasionally indulge in CMT's Trick My Truck. A show about re-decorating semi's. Give it a chance.
2. I don't really like chocolate that much.
3. I've never been to the movies by myself.
4. Um..... this is getting hard. When I grow up I want to be a CSI investigator.
5. I believe that the people of Port Charles, NY (aka General Hospital) are not only real, but my friends.
6. I am a fabulous shoe model.
7. I'd love to adopt a child someday.
8. Jane Austen is my favorite author.
9. I like to read aloud to people. (especially to Amy)
10. I think about scrapbooking more than I actually do it.
11. I think that ice cream should be a food group.
12. I often work as Giselle's body double. No, seriously.
13. I have my mom to thank for my cankles (calf/ankles).
14. I've never smoked.
15. I know the back way to almost anywhere in St.Louis.
16. I'm hell on wheels in reverse....which has cost $$$$$ in repairs to Amy's jeep.
17. I have itchy legs.
18. I'm a great deal-finder.
19. I plan on being on The Amazing Race.
20. I don't know how to drive a stick shift.
21. The first time I chipped a golf ball it went in the hole.
22. I drive too fast.
23. I hate to go to bed.
24. I hate to get up.
25. My contractor says someday I'll have new cabinets.
26. I've always had a thing for James Dean.
27. I know a little about a lot, and if I don't I'll come up with a theory about it.
28. I love to try new receipes.
29. My 2 favorite things to wear are p.j.'s and flip flops, not necessarily together. Well, sometimes.
30. I only eat red meat occasionally and it has to be well done. Like a brick.
31. John Mayer. I *heart* him. And I only want the best for him, which I do not believe is Jessica Simpson. He could do a whole lot better. I'm just sayin'.
32. I once killed a cat on accident. It's a sad story. Tragic, really.
33. I have a special checker-lady on Tuesday's at Target.
34. My mom was going to name me Burgandy. My dad was going to call me 'Red'. So, I was named Tamara. As in "The sun will come out...Tamara. I'll see ya, Tamara."
35. I have a Ph.D dissertation dedicated to me.

How's that??? How many did *you* know???
Many thanks to Amy and Matt for helping me dig deep.

Thanks also to my mom and Leon for a wonderful Birthday party today. And to my special little family for the sweet celebration. It's been a good day.

B-day photos to come.

Happy First Day of Spring!!! I will always remember the morning after you were born, my breakfast tray had a "spring" napkin on it.
Yes, I knew most of the 35, yet loved reading them and thinking of you. Loved our time together yesterday. Hope Hannah has a great day of "discovering Wildwood". My grandbabies are all growing up so fast, yet I adore each new stage and watching them bloom. You and Matthew are such great parents. Love you LOTS!

I didn't know #1, 12, and 32. Where was "I don't make decisions easily"? Ha! All your good qualities far outweight the not so good ones!!! Glad you had a wonderful birthday. Love you lots and lots and then some more. Aunt Linda

Wow! You did come up with all 35! Good job. We have to talk more - there were several I didn't know.
Remember as we get older, we truly do get wiser and more beautiful. Forget all the negatives and focus on the positives.
Love, Aunt Patty

I'm happy to report that I did know quite a few, but some I did not. And I LOVE your sense of humor. I agree, I don't think Jessica Simpson is in his best interest. She wasn't in Nick's either. :) Oh, yes, and I agree with Aunt Linda-that should have made the list-definitely. Love ya!

Happy 35th birthday to someone I knew another (teen-aged) lifetime ago.

Although it's been many years (yikes), I actually think I remember one or two of these factoids.

My very favorite fact of yours? Number 7. Because I did it (and will again very soon). And it's so phenomenally awesome.

Happy Twenty-Fifteen.

So glad you've come to the big 35! Now we'll be the same age for at least a few months. We're getting old, girl! HA! (only in years -- not in our minds, right?) I knew several of your list, but not all of them. Thanks for sharing them -- I'm loving your blog for another way to keep up with all of you. Love and miss you, Jacki
