<<---<<--- being serenaded this morning by the lapharp.

<<--<<--- my brand-spankin' new frig. We went with "silver mist" instead of stainless because of the fingerprint factor. At first I thought she looked like a "Misty" but I've decided since that she's definitely a "Sylvia". I think Sylvia fits her womanly style. :) The only *bad* thing about this new bigger frig is it is a glaring reminder that we have no food and I need to go to the grocery store (which is one of my least favorite things to do lately). In that little bitty frig it always looked like I was stocked up for the winter. Now, all I have is turkey, milk, and salad dressing. Looks like I'm going shopping today.

<<--<<--got this in the mail yesterday. It's a box of scrapbook goodies I won from Rebecca Sower's blog. She was 'decluttering' and giving away boxes of stuff. I was one of 18 she picked. Fun stuff, most of it from her lines of scrapbooking "Nostaligiques" and "Bookworks"...some pens, rubons, Designing with Texture book, buttons... She has a really cool blog. Check it out, especially the pictures of her studio. Delish!
www.rebeccasower.typepad.comSo that is some of good stuff going on lately. Of course, it hasn't been all jolly-good around here, but I'm trying to stay positive. Haven't heard anymore from the cabinet man. Trying to be patient. Headaches are a pain. Literally. I'm looking into something that may help with the daily ones. More on that after my appt. next Friday. It won't necessarily help the monthly horomonal migraines, but the chronic daily ones are the depressing ones, so pray that I find the solution.
I've been feeling the "Jane Austen" vibe lately. She is my absoute *fav* author! I'm going to finish "Persuasion" and then read "Northanger Abbey". Then I guess I'll have to start over with her works. If you've never read "Pride and Prejudice" put it on your list. Classic, beautiful, it doesn't get any better.
Someone (a little blond) is needing assistance with a big painting project. Uh, oh, better go.

That "Sylvia" is a beauty--I can just imagine all the goodies behind those doors. Yum!
Little Kate is a delight--I know her serenade was beautiful, and she is an artist too. A girl after my own heart.
I love the surprise box you won-looks like lots of great treasures. What fun!
Fill that fridge, sing that song and be creative! Lots of love, Mom
Look at that box of stuff! How cool is that --- that could the inspiration you need for WEEKS of scrapbooking. Wish I was there to help you use it! Hey, have you ever read "Redeeming Love" by Francine Rivers? It is excellent! Just an idea-- tell everyone "hi" and it's been great to keep up with everything going on with you! Love and miss you a ton, Jacki
"Sylvia" is a beauty!!! I was in Lowes last week and saw a silver mist finish and I really liked it. In fact I think I like it better than stainless. I know stainless is in right now - but to me, it has always seemed "cold" somehow. Glad you have it!!!!!Aunt Linda
