Hours of sleet and snow all night makes for a beautiful morning. I love how it makes everything so bright and clear. It's been a long time since we've had weather like this. I have to confess that having to hunker-down at home is so nice. We put up the tree yesterday, so it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here. So much in fact that Kate got up this morning, saw the snow and the tree and thought it actually **was** Christmas! Not yet, sweetie, Mommy has way too much to get done before Christmas, it can't come too fast!
Spending the day getting ready to take classes with Ali tomorrow. Patti, Cathy and I are leaving at the crack of dawn tomorrow to drive to Springfield. Did you know that I'm beyond excited???

Kate is right, it is "beginning to look a lot like Christmas"--isn't it sweet the way children see life.
I am so thankful you have electricity to go with your winter-wonderland. Enjoy the winter's day with family all around you.
