Back from a little break. We had a wonderful, wonderful Thanksgiving with lots of time with family --- and now it's full swing Christmas around here.

We were blessed with a gift from some friends of a tree, cut fresh on the Monday after Thanksgiving in Virginia and delivered right to our door on Wednesday. Here it is in the great big box.

Then my lumber-jack-looking husband, under the watchful eye of Ben gets it ready for the stand. (yes, he's wearing shorts...but your other option would have been boxers, so....)

It slowly fluffed up and drank up water...

and...ta-da -- with lots of helping hands, we got it up and ready for the season.

We've been so incredibly busy but the next week and a half is thankfully a little more manageable. I'm almost done with shopping and have done quite a bit online and gotten some super deals. I mainly have Hannah left to do, since she doubles up with her birthday too.

I'm hoping to finish up all the rest by the weekend, so we can just enjoy hanging out.

Tomorrow night is Jonathan and Kate's program at school. Kate is a wiseman (or wiseperson to be p.c.) She is excited about giving the gold coins to baby Jesus and about all the tassles that are on her costume. I guess wise people are really into fashion, too. :o)

Hannah's Winter Formal went really well. She looked darling and had an "awesome" night. The boys that had to be made to go last year by their moms, were more confident this year and asked the girls to dance a whole lot more. And all her girlfriends had a sleepover afterward. Oh, to be 14 again. ---- speaking of ... I reminded Matt that I was only 15 when we started dating and Hannah's 14th birthday is in a couple of weeks. *Yikes* was the look on his face. I completely feel the same way. *Yikes*

Here are a couple of photos:

<<<--- this one is a little blurry on here...but I love how she's just being patient waiting to go.

<<<---3 of the 4 amigas. (Kaitlyn was running late) They are all sooo sweet.
Hope to be back really soon. Lots more to share....Missed being here:)

Oh, I love the pictures of Hannah ready for her formal. She is a sweetheart. And you guys had better be saying "Yikes!", cause she will be winning hearts everywhere. She is such a beautiful young lady, inside as well as out. Glad the girls had fun, and I remember those sleepovers and also when my little girl fell in love. Yes, it wasn't that long ago, and I am ever so proud of your choice, and that "lumberjack" setting up the tree! I love your tree and am thankful the Lord blessed you with such wonderful friends to send you all the perfect tree to celebrate Christmas. Hey, I am glad you are back on the blog. I've been missin' ya! Love, Mom

She is special, special, special!!!! Your tree is so pretty and you did a great job of decorating it with all the ornaments (Disney and others, ha). Can't wait to spend Christmas with all of you. You are one of God's blessings to us!!! Love, Aunt Linda
