Grown up talk

Tonight, while relaxing watching a documentary on the womb of the elephant -- oh, I forgot to tell you first that it was just me and Matt and this was what we did with our time without the kids...no dancing, romancing, just a stop at the antique mall, a sandwich from Bread Co. and plopping down at home was perfect --

back to the elephants -- they are describing as only good documentaries do how the elephants mate, and then go into a "computer animated" scene of the little elephant sperm swimming on their long journey to the uterus. I pointed out to Matt that those weren't the real sperm, just *stunt sperm* doing the re-enactment.
hee hee hee.

for some reason talking about elephant sperm like they were real little people really cracked me up :) The show was really cool, though seriously. They showed the little elephant in there with the 4D ultrasound.

Where'd the kids go?? To my mom and Leon's for the fair and the rodeo. Picking them up tomorrow evening after work. Sure is quiet around here tonight.

I've promised some photos from the reception back home a few weeks ago...first a few that I took during our very, very quick photoshoot before the reception.

<<<--- hard to choose between the b & w and color of this one. Something about the b&w seems timeless to me, though. <<--posed, but oh, so sweet. Here's some from the reception.

<<<-- who's that girl??? <<<<--- Amy and Grandma, a beautiful 92. <<<>

<<<-- "shakin' her booty with her girls"

<<-- showing the elder Mr. and Mrs. Owens how it's done

<<<-- I love, love this picture. I admit the white balance is off and it's a little burry, but because she looks so happy, and how the whole wedding whoop-de-do ended at C'ville's classiest night spot, this picture makes me so happy :)
Some advice, that goes so well, to end the post: Never say "Never".

Love the pics and the post! I also love the fact that you did not mention where exactly that classy place was that we ended up...thank you!!! I have definitely learned over the past year and a half to stop saying "never." Love you and can't wait to see you this week!

Loved all the pictures! You need to quit your day job (don't you agree?) and become a professional photographer. I love them all and I love you! Aunt Linda

What beautiful pictures! We had a wonderful time with the Grandkids--wait until you get all the details of the Rodeo, when the bull jumped 2 fences and all the cowboys took off on horses to try to get it back in. I also took a few (hundred) photos of the sweet kiddies and will try to send a few your way.
Love your "evening at home" and the documentary, how funny! Those uneventful little moments are special times when spent with someone you love. Thanks for sharing all the sweet pictures, and for letting us see the County Fair through the eyes of a child, which really makes it what it is all about. Love you all more than words can express.
