April Shower

A few of my favorites from Amy's Bridal Brunch/Shower --- surprisingly I took a lot --- but I thought these would give you a good idea of what a lovely morning it was.
Delicious food -- quiche, muffins, monkey bread, fruit kabobs, turkey wraps, have I left anything out?? oh, yes, the chocolate trifle!---
Mimosas -- delish!

flowers, laughter, friends, family. And boy did she (and Doug) get some fabulous gifts. She did Pottery Barn proud! We had everyone give Amy a copy of their favorite chicken recipe with marriage advice written on the back and Camelia provided a sweet engraved recipe box. (Notice in the photo above, Camelia's thumbs up, and the empty mimosa glass....he he)
Grandma Ruth gave her the handmade quilt she'd made years before and put away for this special occasion. Definitely a teary-eyed moment. Every stitch by hand. So Beautiful!

I realized as I loaded up the pictures that I have a back-up of posts needing to be written. One is the beginning-to-end 40 hours project in pictures. Hannah presents her project tomorrow, so I hope to get that up sometime this weekend. We ALL learned a lot ... for me, it was patience.
So .... More to come.

Hey! Glad to hear the shower went well. Did you do the banner you were talking about? The quilt does look so nice -- grandmas are good at the sentimental things that can cause tears. (happy tears!) I hope all is well with all of you. It's been too long since a chat -- I'll have to catch you soon. Love and miss you, Jacki

What a beautiful shower--the tables and food turned out perfect! The picture of Grandma Ruth, Linda and Amy is precious--I know there are many stitches filled with love in the quilt and so many memories associated with it. These are times that will make up the stories passed down to the next generation. And your pictures will be what brings them to life. Thanks for all your love and care in letting us all join in the celebration.
Love, Mom
