Monday, February 4

Back to it. The regular. The day to day. We are back home (as of Friday) and are finally all well after some sinus yuk for me and a high fever for Hannah. Slowly getting back acquainted with what a normal day is like after 2 weeks of traveling back and forth to IL and emotional ups and downs. It honestly feels really good to just go to work/school and come home, make dinner and be home. Thank you for all your prayers and sweet words during these hard times.

Just wanted to pop in and say Hey...

oh, and did you know that it's already February (the 4th actually). It'll be Valentine's Day soon -- the day of *love*... oh, how I love Valentine's Day. I have a post coming for that later, though, so I'll hold off on my love of love.

Katie's been full of funnies lately... tonight she told me that I couldn't have any of her chocolate because I'm "takin' a diet."

She's been busy planning her birthday party which is not until next month, but when you are 4 days, weeks, and months mean absolutely nothing. The big dilema is whether or not to invite boys. She has a couple of good friends that are boys, but they don't jive with her image of a Hello Kitty pinata, tea party, makeover, Hannah Montana celebration.

"Project Amy and Doug's Wedding Is In 4 1/2 Months" has kicked off and is on the front burner now. Lots to do. Don't worry, A. -- I'm on it like Matt on a blue burger. We've got several DIY projects we are doing, so I hope to share some of our pretties here.

a random, but favorite, picture for a really random post :)

Well, would you "looky" here...not only am I posting a comment, I'm the first one to do it! I usually just say an "amen" to Virginia's lovely comments, but she's left it up to me this time. I'm glad everyone is feeling better...and getting back to normal...or our new version of normal. We certainly were blessed with the greatest grandfather of all time. Also glad to hear that "Project Wedding" is back on...you are my ultimate motivator.
P.S. Katie says I'm invited to her "slumber party, but not really a slumber party." I feel so honored! Love you all!

Hooray for "normal"! Those days of work/school, then home/family time are wonderful, huh? Those comfy clothes and focusing on future birthday/wedding plans can do the body good. I know that is something you enjoy, so for you, it is some recreation time. I am glad you are back to the blog, as I miss it when you are away from the web for too long, but I do understand that there are only 24 hours in a day, and one must sleep at least 3-4 of those!!! Glad to see Amy got her post on here. I know it encourages you to get some comments, so you know others are out there and paying attention. Love the photo of Katie, our next birthday girl. Sending you our love, Mom
