Reason to Celebrate -- and no it doesn't have to do with cabinets

<--<--Sneak peek ... finished painting last night (other than some trim work) Painted the wall behind my desk "Fen" green. Pretty, muted green. The rest of the house is the Softer Tan that the family room is in. It looks a little yellow in this picture, but it really is tan-ish and changes a lot in the light. Unfortunately because of the rain, the cabinets were delayed until tomorrow. I'm dying to see them, but I also don't want them ruined in the rain. So, patience. Yes, patience.

On a much happier note, Hannah is back from camp. Kate squealed in delight to see her sis. (that glass breaking shriek of a 4 yr. old girl) Hannah was ready to come home, I think, but sad to leave her new friends. They have some sort of plan to have a shopping trip to the mall, have exchanged phone numbers, email addresses, etc. etc. Such fun stuff. She said she didn't miss me very much, but she *did* snuggle up with me on the couch when we got home. Now, she's out with Maggie at 'movie-night'. It really is all about *going and doing with friends* right about now.

We have a super busy day tomorrow, starting with a track meet. But I would be remiss to neglect mentioning that tomorrow is not only Cinco de Mayo but -----

National Scrapbooking Day!!!! Yes, all of you readers who claim no craftiness, there is an actual DAY in HONOR of the most fabulous craft around. Is there a National Knitting Day? National Cross Stitch Day?? I don't think so. Scrapbooking is where. it. is. at. Everything completely hip, cool and happenin' in one paper, scissors, and glue filled hobby. And I, for one am **Celebrating**!!! And yes, there will be chips, salsa and margaritas.

e.t.a. - photo love pic is Jon Carter's new love of cursive writing. It's the big thing in 2nd grade, ya know.

Love your paint job---I think maybe I have some walls that need painting---and now I know someone with lots of practice!!
You did a great job, and yes, we are all still awaiting the peek at those cabinets.
I love Jonathan's cursive writing, He is doing great. It is a great picture. One of my favorites.
Hope you and Patti had a good "National Scrapbooking Day" and "Happy Birthday to Patti" as well. Dual celebration, what fun.
So good to see Hannah back home, and I can almost hear Kate's squeal of delight to have her sister back with her. Precious!
Keep posting--love your blog. Mom
