Just so you know ---

To start off, I am thankful to God for his protection and to the wise baseball people who made face guards manatory this year. Jonathan got hit in the face with a pitch last night. I don't want to think about "what-if" he hadn't had a face guard on his helmet. He was as tough as nails, but admitted in the car that he was shaken up by it. I think he used the words "swirling around".

Speaking of my boy,

Last night, the finales of American Idol and Lost were on at the same time. I was taping AI since we missed the first hour while at a ball game. So here's the scene ---

Matt and I had sat down to watch Lost, the kids just got to bed. Jonathan was dying to see the end of AI, so he went into our bedroom to watch. At 9:00 he comes into the living room and says ---

"just so you know, Jordin won." Thanks alot, Buddy.

Matt said, "I don't think your mom wanted to know that." .

I usually like to know how things end, but with that kind of show, the excitement and anticipation of the moment is the biggest part of it. Oh, well. Bubble burst.

And about Lost -- good finale. A tiny bit creeped out by it all and completely confused. I have zero theories. It makes my brain hurt to try to figure it all out, so I'm just along for the ride.

Here are some things I'm loving lately:

Hey there, Delilah by the Plain White T's.

Elsie put this on her blog and now I'm completely in *love* with this song.

Also -- this new scrapbooking site is becoming one of my very favorites.

And -- to get ready for Italy I've been going to this blog for it's gorgeous pictures and this site for its great tips and info.

For inspiration check these out: cool idea for a picture blog

some of the most awesome paper/stationary stuff ("most awesome" is great grammar, huh?)

very unique goodies here -- come on, I know you are 'curious', he he...

By now you are on link overload, so I'll stop there. Oh, wait, don't miss out on checking "7 days of interestingness on Flickr which gives you a mish-mash of super cool pictures each time you reload.

Now I'm done. I guess you need a picture, though. Here's one I love: lots of shadows, etc. but the sweetness of him reading to her is priceless.
