Stop the Clock

I know it's the 2nd post in one day, but I had to share this really quick. It just blessed my heart. My pre-teen, "I want a cell phone", "When can I wear make-up?" daughter was outside blowing bubbles, all by herself after school. Twirling in circles, catching the bubbles on the wand. When she saw me taking her picture through the doorway, she just laughed and kept playing. I wanted to have this down to remind myself as we journey into the teenage years together. Under all the 'looks' and 'sighs', when she's embarrassed to be with me, when she would rather be with her friends, she's still my little girl. Always.

And a funny: (especially for all my basketball fans out there) Hannah says tonight... " I have this, um, bracket thing-a-ma-bobber to see whose gonna win somethin' in the basketball somethin' " She's not exactly into NCAA Basketball. So, Jonathan is helping her fill the bracket out. If they win, they get a free pizza.

I'm glad you froze that moment in time and shared it with us! Blowing bubbles is wonderful, no matter what age, and I am thankful that Hannah is carefree, youthful, and understanding of "Mom's love for phototaking". She, too, will be glad to have those shots when she is older.
Jonathan is a great helper and I know he is "in-the-know" when it comes to sports, so he will fix up her "thing-a-mabobber-bracket". No problem.
Enjoy this, another springtime day! Love, Mom

It is shocking how Hannah is growing up. We have such special memories from her infant/toddler years --- now such a sweet young lady. We miss her so and wish plan on making more of the pre-teen memories with her and all of you. So sweet -- how she is still so innocent -- please stay that way, Hannah! Love, Jacki (and the Edge family)
