Humor me

I wish I could describe how awesome the concert was. We had sooooo much fun. The music was fab. The crowd was loud. John went above and beyond. Did you know I *heart* JM??? And no, I'm not 14 yrs old.

He sang a song just for me and A. (wink, wink) Fun times. We (specifically Matt) were hungry and Bloomington must not be a real late night spot cause the only place around the Coliseum that was serving food at 11:30 was La Bamba. I wasn't aware of this 'treasure' in the world of Mexican cuisine, where they have burritos as big as you head. See picture below:
<<---beautiful wall mural. That my friends, is art.
<<--Matt and Doug ordering food.
We had a really relaxing, fun time. The kids loved having Grandpa and Grandma all to themselves. Spoiled rotten. I'm crazy enough to miss them terribly after being gone only 24 hours. We settled in last night and watched the Nature show on PBS together. That's one of our 'family' things. Cool show where they put a camera on hawks and eagles and you can see what's it's like to fly like they do. Home today, just hangin' out. We're talking about doing something fun, but not sure what.
Cabinet update: a couple of weeks. Matt said "Remember that movie "The Money Pit"?? That's what the contractor always said." Not. Funny. So.... it won't be long now. I'm kicking it into gear and getting the rest of the kitchen/dining room painted.
Good to talk to you again :)

Great pictures, memories of a great time. I'm glad you 2 got to go and enjoy some time together. We enjoyed spending time with the grandkids. They are growing up TOO fast.
I love watching Jonathan play basketball. What an all-star! Hannah is learning her Mom's cooking skills, and such a good helper. Katie taught Grandma a few new brush strokes in her painting. They are, each one, treasures and delights.
I can hardly wait to see the new cabinets, so I know how anxious you must be. Now you will get inspired to finish painting, just to see the completed living space. The family room is beautiful already, and what a difference the finished kitchen will make.
Thank you for sharing. Love you lots. Mom

Besides Cornerstone, I have not seen such a broad array of music fans from swooning little girls to old guys digging guitar rifts. Chris Baker commented to me that that says something about Mayer's music. I agree. John has even brought my loving wife to great appreciation for the guitar solo! We need more intergenerational musicians for marital harmony. matt

Glad you had a good time at the concert and a wonderful overnight trip. Everyone needs to get away once in a while. Sounds like I need to listen to a little of JM music. And two weeks - yea!!!! The painting will get done, the cabinets and countertops installed and then you will be done. I can't wait to see it all!!! You so richly deserve to have all of this. Love you, Aunt Linda
