Well, you all have hung in there long enough to see the family room to completion. Thanks for all of your help, support and sweet comments. We are still of course waiting on the kitchen and in process of moving furniture, etc. but the family room is essentially done. We all love it so much. Rob and Laura came up and helped by painting on Monday and yesterday they laid the carpet. Here's the pictures:
I have a lot of other topics I'd like to talk about but I'm a little crunched for time today. Doing a great bible study on I John. It's been soooo good, talking this week about loving our neighbor, walking in Jesus' example. It seems lately that I am more and more challenged in this area. But am reminded of the scripture that says, "Greater love have no man that this than he lay down this life for his friends." Loving in spite of...definitely more of an action, a decision than a feeling.
On a *not-so-introspective* note: Lots going on tonight. Basketball for Jon Carter, Youth for Hannah. They are going to Sky Zone, where the floor and walls are trampolines. And you jump for an hour. Definitely a YOUTH thing. She's so, so excited.
The weekend is looking pretty quiet. Matt says he's going to rest, then take it easy. That's his big plans for the weekend. Sounds pretty good, huh? I may have to join him.

I agree, you should join Matt in resting some this week-end. Thanks for sharing you pictures--I love your new family room. The wall color was the perfect choice, and the armoire looks great. You have done a wonderful job putting it all together. I am so proud of you. Your new title will soon become "the entertainer", once that new kitchen is complete. With your love of cooking it will be well used, I'm sure.
Looks like the whole family was having a celebration of "completion", that is so neat.
I can't wait to see it all.
I love everything about the room!!! The color looks terrific, the armoire looks great, etc. etc. And you deserve every bit of this!!!!!!!!! Hang in there - the kitchen will be done in a few weeks and life will get back to normal - only in a bigger living space. And yes, get some rest!!!!!!!! Love all of you. Aunt Linda
