I haven't kept up very well this week with my blog. Sorry to all of you, few as you are, who read it. Life goes at lightning speed sometimes. A big blur. My days have been full and honestly, my mind has had some ideas of this to write about but actually putting it down is another thing.
I've done more *thinking* than actually doing lots of the things that I love to do lately. What have I been thinking about, you ask?
Photography... becoming more and more interested, thanks to my mom, in all that taking great pictures entails. I ordered a book from Amazon called "Understanding Exposure" hoping to well, understand more.
Scrapbooking...another thing I love and think about, but haven't done much of. That's in the plans for this weekend though. Some long needed crop time with Patti.
Cooking... our evenings have been packed full and so it's been a lot of easy, or frozen, dinners. Oh, and pizza. I miss cooking meals, finding new recipes. I'm looking forward to chili, and roasted veggies...fall foods.
I'm going to make time for these things. I'm making that promise to myself. Doing them makes me feel better, happier. It's time to start *doing* and not just thinking about it.
One of the things that I've been busy with is coaching Hannah's volleyball team. We have a mixture of grades, but it is mainly a 5th & 6th grade team. Although it's been a lot of work, I've had a great time. I love the girls, and the game. We have had a really good season, not a lot of wins, but lots of close games. Last night, we beat River Roads, a team that we NEVER win against. We played the best of 5 and took it to the 5th game. Because I was coaching, I didn't get to take pictures, but I hope to get some at next Monday's game. I did take a few of them warming up. Here's Hannah with some of her teammates. (She's the **tall** one! lol)

Love the photo of Han playing volleyball! Yes, start doing w/ the Photography-you have a natural gift!
I can't wait to see more of your photos. You are very talented. I can't wait to see where you will end up with your photography. It will take you far!
I ditto the scrapbooking and cooking. I'm in the mood to make a fire in the fireplace and start cooking. Fall really puts me in the mood to cook and hang out.
Seeing the photo of Hannah, is just like seeing you play volleyball, all over again---wow! Wasn't that just yesterday? Glad both of you enjoy the game and looks like the talent runs in the family with Aunt Patty's talent for coaching volleyball too. Enjoy each day--truly they are a gift.
Keep up the studying of photography. It is such a fun hobby, and digital makes it easier to work with. Ties right in with your scrapbooking too. Perfect!
You probably inherited some of that "doing things in your mind" but slow to get started from me. I am painting pictures everyday--yet to sit down with the brush and canvas is hard to work into the schedule. That is one of the reasons I love having my paint "class" it gives me a time to concentrate on that. Our organizational skills are similar.
Love your blog--Love you lots!
Mom
Hannah - Loved your mom's picture. I just wish I could have seen you play in person. Aunt Linda
